I meant to build this VU Meter over the summer, but got sidetracked right after making the PCB. Now I’m finally getting around to finishing it. If it works (don’t get your hopes up) then it will ultimately be sewn into a scarf for my friend Fin. I’ve learned some important lessons from this task so far: It’s hard to solder to homemade PCBs. Check, double check, triple check that you have the right supplies. Always have a community around to answer questions — especially when using a weird circuit diagram.
